Access · open to all bodies

Opento all bodies.

Every step-free route, every raised platform, every quiet space. Pulse of Gaia is built to be felt — by every body.

01 · Step-free routes

From the train, to the gate.

The step-free path begins at Reggio Emilia Mediopadana station, where lifts take you to street level. From there, an unbroken paved surface runs 800 metres to the dedicated access gate. No kerb exceeds 2 cm the entire route. Where the path slopes, it ramps — no steps, no surprises. Signage is bilingual. Access stewards are posted at every junction from 16:00 through the end of the night. If you want to walk it in advance, the access map shows the full route gate to gate.

02 · Raised viewing platforms

Eye-level with the stage.

Four raised platforms are spread across the arena — one per stage zone, plus an additional platform at the back of the main stage for those who prefer space and distance over proximity. Each platform accommodates 8–12 wheelchair users alongside 8–12 companions. Access is via ramped entry; no platform requires a lift.

Platforms open at the same time as the general floor. Spaces are first-come, first-served on the night, managed by a dedicated access steward at each platform. If a platform is at capacity, stewards will direct you to the next nearest option. Platform positions are marked on the site map and signed from the access gate.

03 · The slow room

Lower the volume on demand.

Two soundproofed quiet rooms are open throughout the festival — one near the access gate, one midway through the site. Both have dim, adjustable lighting, sensory mats on the floor, and a small stock of ear defenders available to borrow for the duration of your visit. No booking, no check-in — you walk in and stay as long as you need. Staff are present but not intrusive.

A calm walking route from the access gate to the main platform is marked on the site map. It avoids the densest crowd zones and runs parallel to the general circulation path.

04 · Free companion ticket

Never alone.

For ticket holders who need a personal assistant or carer to access the event, we provide one companion ticket free of charge per night. There is no additional cost, no lengthy process, and no single accepted document format — proof of disability is accepted in any EU language, including Italian Legge 104, equivalent national certifications, or a brief letter from a medical professional. We do not share your documentation with third parties.

Apply using the form below or email us directly. We aim to confirm within 48 hours. Please apply at least seven days before your night if possible — we will always try for shorter notice, but cannot guarantee platform reservations for last-minute requests.

05 · Service animals welcome

Four feet, same gate.

Trained service animals are welcome at all stages and throughout the site. Water bowls are available at every water station and at each access steward post. The quiet zones offer rest space for animals during sets — no music, lower foot traffic, and a flat surface to lie down. Entry is via the dedicated access gate alongside their handler.
